State of California – DMV Field Office
San Ysidro, California

The project included the construction of a single story 14,800 square foot building. BSE Engineering provided electrical engineering services including electrical power distribution, interior and exterior lighting, lighting controls, telephone and data wiring, fire alarm and intrusion detection systems. The project received LEED Gold certification.

Coronado City Hall and Community Center
Coronado, California

In this project, BSE Engineering provided planning and design services for the relocation and reconfiguration of site electrical, telephone, and cable TV utilities to allow for the construction of the City of Coronado’s new city hall, community center and pool recreational buildings. The project included new electrical services for an adjacent marina and navigation facilities, and new street lighting.

As A/E consultant on this project, BSE Engineering prepared construction documents and specifications. The firm also provided construction administration for the project. Electrical work included a complete site and interior power distribution system, site and interior telephone and CATV system, fire alarm system, and micro turbine co-generation for the pool as well as for the site infrastructure to link the data systems of the three new buildings. The San Diego Gas & Electric charges for the relocation of site utilities were more than $500,000.
